Treat + Greylock

We are thrilled to announce that Treat, our AI platform built for e-commerce marketers and designers, has successfully raised $8.5 million in a seed round led by Mike Duboe at Greylock Partners. This exciting milestone marks the beginning of a new chapter for Treat as we embark on our mission to help brands use generative AI to turbocharge creative and individually personalize every online shopping experience.

The Shift Towards Creative and AI

eCommerce/DTC brands are operating at the intersection of the aftermath of recent privacy regulations (iOS14.5/ATT) and the proliferation new AI tools like chatGPT and Stable Diffusion.

As third-party cookies and other tracking technologies face increasing scrutiny, the focus has shifted toward creative as the new frontier for reaching audiences.

This mass shift and reliance on creative paves the way for new generative AI tools to power the ad creative and copy needs of D2C marketers. We are moving towards a world where 99% of pixels will be generated not rendered.

This is where Treat comes in

Treat is at the forefront of this transformation, enabling marketers to harness the power of AI-driven creative insights to generate highly personalized content without compromising user privacy.

“For marketers, now more than ever, creative is THE determinant of profitable acquisition. Matt and Hugh come at this problem with uniquely deep customer empathy; had Treat been in my life while running Growth at Stitch Fix, I not only would have saved countless hours in creative processes, but the surface area of experimentation would have been so much broader & ultimately more profitable.”

MIKE DUBOE, GP @ GREYLOCK

Thanks to generative AI tooling, the cost of rapidly creating content drops close to zero. The value of knowing what content to create and why increases proportionally in the opposite direction.

Brands will need as much 1st party, behavioral, and demographic data about their customers as they can get to be able to really personalize the images and copy that people see.

Treat empowers D2C marketers and brands to unlock the power of their data to fuel creative strategies, effortlessly generate on-brand high quality visuals, and achieve true personalization at scale.

💡 AI-Powered Creative Insights

Treat’s AI intelligently uncovers the creative concepts that resonate with your target audience and combines them with customer behavior, preferences, and demographic data to generate highly personalized content that drives results.

🎨 Effortless Image Generation
